Medical technology

In the medical technology sector, foam materials are used for a large variety of applications.

Particularly PUR flexible foam materials are utilised in a number of ways based on their special properties. Their open cellular structure ensures controlled absorption and release of liquids, among other things. They are thus used, for example, to gently and economically apply liquids and pastes in dentistry. But they are also used as filter media in appliances for tracheostoma protection.

The following examples are intended to provide a brief overview of our products, materials, and processing options. We are sure to find the right solution for your requirements as well. Put us to the test!

Pellets made of PUR foam for dentistry

Pellets made of PUR foam for gentle and economical application of liquids and pastes.

Foam materials used for application purposes exhibit a very uniform cellular structure, which ensures a hygienic, lint-free application.

Available in various shapes and sizes as needed. Die-cut for diameters from 3 mm at low cost for large series; conical shapes also cut to shape.

Inserts made of filter foam for tracheostomy bibs

Filter inserts made of special PUR foam for use in protective tracheotomy bibs.

Filter foam materials have a defined, uniform cell size that is defined, or “controlled”, differently depending on the application and the medium to be filtered. Special skin-friendly and tested foam types are used in protective bibs.

Die-cut to exact contours at low cost in larger series; alternatively water jet-cut for smaller series or special requirements.

Produced in accordance with enhanced hygienic and documentation requirements.

Protective ear bandages made of PUR foam for the ENT sector

Protective ear bandages for use after surgery on the outer ear. The bandage consists of a cushion with a cut-out and a cap made of flexible foam.

PUR foam is characterised by high flexibility and resistance to shock and impact. It thus guarantees both wear comfort and optimal protection against mechanical stress for the ear that was operated on.

Foam cushion and cap die-cut in line with increased requirements. Cushion is self-adhesive on one side for easy attachment of the cap.

Cores made of flexible foam for nasal tamponades

Foam cores for nasal tamponades to stop bleeding, for post-operative stabilisation, and optimisation of wound healing.

The high elasticity and compressibility of the PUR flexible foam core ensures that the tamponades can be inserted and removed again with the least amount of discomfort.

Die-cut to exact contours at low cost in larger series; alternatively water jet-cut for smaller series or special requirements.

Produced in accordance with enhanced hygienic and documentation requirements.
